Anyone else loving October!?! There is something so magical about fall time!  Jake and I knew we had a lot of things scheduled towards the end of October so we wanted to make sure we got our pumpkin carving in early so we didn’t miss it!  Last year we missed out on carving pumpkins, so this year we wanted to make sure we got it in!

On Saturday it was rainy out, so it was the perfect day to carve our pumpkins!  We both picked out our big pumpkins from a local pumpkin farm.  I was so surprised at how heavy the big pumpkins were, even with all the insides scooped out!  We used giant medal spoons to scoop out the insides of the pumpkin, and I was so shocked how easy it was to get everything out!

I seem to do the same thing every year and carve BANG into a pumpkin.  Jake mixed it up this year and did a smiley face!  I thought he did such a great job and it turned out so cute!  We loved seeing our pumpkins at night time glowing with the candles in them.  I am always so amazed at how much light a little tee light gives off in the dark.  Pretty amazing to me.

When we woke up, saw the rain outside and decided to carve pumpkins we knew we wanted to wear some denim.  Something about denim seems screams pumpkin patch vibe!  I wore a Shabby Apple denim maxi dress, and Jake wore a Levi’s denim vest.

Are you planning on craving pumpkins this year? How do you like to carve your pumpkin?

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

You guys both did a fantastic job with your pumpkins. Yours is so unique, Kelsey. I am in love with that stunning chambray jumpsuit and its flare leg pants. I am a huge fan of the bohemian flare denim of the current season. As a matter of fact I am wearing a pair, today. =)

How fun! Your pumpkins turned out great. The large ones are heavy. I've only bought one large one so far since they are so hard to carry. I am going to let my kids design the pumpkins this week and carve out their designs. It is so much fun for them. We will make pumpkin seeds as well. I love your pumpkin carving outfits.
