The Twins Are HERE!

Hello Twin Girls!

I am one happy mama, the twins are here! On September 24th I had a c-section and we were able to welcome these beautiful girls into the world! Their daddy and I have been so excited to meet them in person, see what their cute little faces looked like and get to know their personalities! If you have followed our journey to getting pregnant you know these are our little miracle babies and just how excited we have been! Jake and I just can’t believe these girls are here now and we get to be their parents! It is the BEST!

We got these pictures taken at the hospital when the girls were first born and had our first family photoshoot! They actually hadn’t had their first bath yet 🙂 Just fresh, juicy new babes!

Today we thought we would introduce you a little bit to each girl and share some fun moments we have had with them so far!

Scout Taylor- Baby A

This is our little Scouty, she has been so much fun! She sure is a little peanut! Scout was born at 4 pounds 12 ounces and 18 inches long. She loves sleeping on her daddy’s chest. I think that really helped in the hospital to keep her temperature up and glucose levels doing good. Scout has been a trooper and passed all her hospital tests despite here petite size!

My mom nick named her Squirt because she is often having blow outs 🙂 hehehe We end up changing her outfit 2-3 times a day! She is such a fun gal and is full of personality! When she cries (which isn’t often) she has a little whimper that goes along with it. It’s pretty cute! Her middle name is after my fathers middle name Taylor, which also happens to be his moms maiden name.

When Scout is hungry, she is hungry! She wants food right away! This gal is such a good eater, and a great latcher. She is often rooting around, looking for her next meal when she is awake. When she is sleeping she loves having her binkie by her side. I think it really helped her learn how to suck and gives her lots of comfort.

This little gal also loves bath time! Her Grandma Bang has given her several baths and she just loves them! Maybe it’s also the special time with Grandma that she loves too! Once she gets swaddled up, she is a master at escaping! She loves her hands by her face and can wiggle her way out of anything!

Scout is really keen of hearing! Any time her daddy talks, she will turn her head to where his voice is coming from. I know these gals already have their dad wrapped around their little fingers 🙂

Davey Sue- Baby B

Here is our juicy Davey! She was born at 5 pounds 7 ounces and 19 inches long! We named her after my dad who passed away 3 years ago. His name was David but he always went by Dave. Davey’s middle name is after Jake’s mom Susan. When we named our girls we really wanted names that we loved and had a special meaning to us.

Davey is such a calm and gentle soul. She came out the womb so chill and sweet. We were cracking up when she came out because she peeded on the doctors 🙂 When she was getting checked by the nurses, she was under a heat lamp and she just sprawled out and loved the heat.

Davey opened her eyes right away from birth. She loves looking around when she is awake! I love when we are snuggling and she looks up at me and smiles. She is always making such cute juicy faces! It amazes me how aware she is. She is so full of wonder and excitement for life. I can tell she is a tender little nugget already and full of empathy for others.

One thing we have noticed about Davey is she is really patient. Her sister has quite a lot of blow outs… hehehe and Davey is always so sweet waiting her turn to get changed while we get Scout a new outfit and all cleaned up.

Davey is a great eater as well! She is willing to work for a meal as my milk is coming in and is so patient! This gal is a natural latcher and adjusts quickly. We have had to try lots of different methods of feeding with the twins. She has been awesome with going with the flow and picks up on all the new methods. Davey is a quick learner!

When she wakes up from a nap she often makes little cooing noises. They are such sweet and gentle sounds! Her doggy Zeke loves checking in on her when he hears these sounds to make sure she is ok!

Davey & Scout

This picture cracks me up so much! Scout (on the right) kept curling her legs up and so she looks so itty bitty!

We have noticed these girls have such a special bond with each other! If you remember in an older post, I was writing how excited I was to get the girls SNOO bassinets?! Well, the girls do not like to be separated right now and prefer to sleep together! If only I would of known we would of saved so much money! hahaha We will have to give the SNOO’s a shot again when the girls get a few weeks older! We found when the girls sleep together they sleep longer periods of time. Instead of 1-2 hour spurts they sleep 3-4 hours at a time! They love sleeping in their Moses basket and sure look cute together in there!

Any chance we get, we love holding these girls! There is something about them when we hold them that everything around us seems to stop and everything seems so peaceful. These girls have been such gems! Jake and I are so excited that Fall time is starting and to take these girls out of some fun seasonal adventures!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! We can’t wait to share more of the girls with you all in the future! Happy Fall time! Hope you have a great day!
