Road trips are one of our favorite things to do together. We also enjoy flying, but there really is something fun about a long drive! We love to listen to music, books on tape (always Jurassic Park) or spend the entire time talking! I think our favorite part though is all the scenery changes! Its fun to get out of your usual element and see something new!
I bought this Karen Walker Dress several years ago from Anthropologie and find my self still wearing it often! I have always loved silk and find when you buy quality silk, the garments hold up and stay in great condition!
Jake is wearing a polo style shirt he purchased from Everlane. He loved that he was able to get a great summer top for a reasonable price/quality. One of Everlane’s logans is “high end basics” and we think they do a really great job at that!
When we travel we always try to pick out items to wear for the car/plane ride that are breathable, soft and easy to wear! I am such a sandal or slip on sneaker type of gal when we travel because I usually end up taking off my shoes at some point! Is there anything you like to wear when you travel?

July 2, 2015I still have and still love this Hi There Karen Walker dress too. It is, however, decidedly not a high-quality silk. It's 100% polyester and is machine washable. It's a great dress for travel, as it doesn't wrinkle or show moisture (sweat, spills, unexpected rain, etc.) as even the best silks will. Initially I hesitated to buy it because of the fabric. I hate synthetic fabrics in general, and I always think of polyester as being hot and uncomfortable. I'm still wearing it a few years later, however, and am loving how well it's held up!
