Wondering if IVF worked for us?! Today we are so excited to share with you all that IVF was a success for us and we are pregnant! Sharing all the details with you on how we found out!

Did IVF Work For Us?

So… did IVF work for us?!?!? OH BABY it did! We are so happy and excited to say our first round of IVF was a success and we are pregnant! Jake and I are feeling so grateful and overwhelmed with gratitude!

We are only a few weeks along, so it’s super early to be announcing we are pregnant, but we have let you all in our entire IVF journey and so we couldn’t wait to announce it! Jake and I decided early on if the news was good or bad that we needed to be open to share it. Well, thankfully this is the best news ever we could be sharing with you all! Right now we are focusing on staying positive and and praying for our baby/babies to grow healthy and strong.

At 7 weeks we will go into our fertility clinic for an ultra sound to check on the baby/babies. When they do the ultra sound they will be able to let us know if there is one baby…..two babies…or however many babies are in there! We put in 2 awesome embryos, so we are hoping both took. We have a pretty good feeling about it!

Words cannot describe how much we love our little baby/babies already and are so excited for whats next to come!

How Did We Find Out We Are Pregnant?

With IVF, after your embryo transfer it’s a little bit of a waiting game for 10 days. They recommend not doing any at home pregnancy tests because of the medications could give a false positive pregnancy test. After 10 days you have an appointment to get blood work done. The blood work tests HCG levels and from that they determine if you are pregnant. It takes a few hours to get the blood work done, so once you get your blood taken you are in a little bit of suspense till the clinic calls.

We feel very fortunate because we had a trip planned to Mexico and the clinic did our blood work early. When we got the call I had no idea what to expect because I didn’t know if my levels would need to be where they needed to be early. Luckily our HCG levels were high and they could tell we were pregnant! Jake and I were so excited! To be honest I feel like we are both still in shock! A happy shock that is! It all seemed to happen so quick and we are grateful! We know this has been years in the making for us but it’s just so amazing seeing it all come full circle.

We went on our trip to Mexico and had a great time! When we got back we did blood work again. Luckily everything was still looking awesome! I was so grateful because being away and not being able to rest 100 percent scared me a little bit. On the trip I really took it easy, relaxed and didn’t lift anything, but it still made me nervous. Coming home and get a confirmation we were still pregnant made me so happy!
