5 Ways To Celebrate Valentines With A Baby

5 ideas to celebrate V-day with newborns

This year we are soooo excited to celebrate Valentines with our twin girls! Since they are so little I know they won’t remember much from their first Valentines but I still wanted to make it special! Jake and I came up with a few ways we plan on celebrating with our girls. I thought I would share what we are doing incase you are looking for some ideas to celebrate with your newborn too!

Make Valentines Cards! Take them around to a retirement home or mail to family and friends!

We made the cutest Valentines on Minted with the girls picture on it and a fun crossword puzzle on the back. Our new home is by a retirement community that has a lot of widows, so we are planning on taking our valentines around to all them. If you want to order fun Valentines cards to, use code VDAYESKB on Minted.com for Expedited Shipping to get them in time for Valentines Day.

Pick up a heart shaped pizza and watch a romantic movie!

With newborns, easy and convenient is good! We love getting a heart shaped pizza at Papa Murphys every Valentines! (You can order a heart shaped pizza in advance to so you can skip the long wait lines!) This year we want to do the same and watch a fun movie before the girls bed time! I am thinking While You Were Sleeping, or 10 Things I Hate About You. 2 of my favs!

Pick a way to serve someone else.

Valentines day is a day of love. Pick a family friend or someone who could use a little extra love and find a way to do something special for that person.

Buy matching family PJ’s and build a story fort!

Is there anything more fun than matching family PJ’s!?!?! I don’t think so 🙂 You could get matching jammies for the family, make a fort and read stories! I saw at Target they have a really fun Valentines book section in the kids area if you are needing any fun new books! At Christmas time we made a movie fort and used a Privacy Pop tent. It took a few minutes to put up, was spacious and super easy to clean up! I am such a fan of making forts for the holidays and reading books and watching movies in them!

Make a heart shaped meal.

While the baby takes a little nap, make a heart shaped meal! You could even do a red and pink meal as well! I saw some fun heart shaped waffle irons for an easy meal!
