Jake’s brother Wesley recently got married and I was so excited to wear some velvet for the occasion!  Their wedding colors were plum and gold. I knew it was going to be freezing outside so I wanted to find a long dress with long sleeves but it was so hard to find a purple dress that met those qualifications.

I randomly looked on amazon for a long purple dress, this velvet one came up and was $27 dollars so I was sold!  The online reviews said to size up, but I found it to be true to size!  After wearing the dress around for the day, I loved it even more and purchased it in two more colors!

Last year another of Jake’s brothers got married and gold was one of their colors too.  I got these gold Jimmy Choo heels for the occasion and loved being able to wear them again for another family wedding!  When it comes to heels, sometimes it is worth the splurge to get a great statement pair that will last for years, and also be comfy to stand in.   Jimmy Choo is always my go to for heels.

Jake is wearing a Topman Suit he picked up at Nordstrom.  He has a few Topman suits in diffrent colors and found he loves the slim style the best.  They are always a pretty good price point for quality/style/etc.
