Christmas Cards with Minted
One of my favorite holiday traditions is Christmas Cards! My father always loved doing a family photo each year and sending out a Christmas card to everyone our family knew and worked with. This is something from my childhood I have loved and a tradition Jake and I enjoy each year.
I always order our cards early because I like to get them done and ready to ship out end of November. We didn’t realize when we ordered them, we would have a new dog! A few days ago we got the cutest new Aussiedoodle named Zeke. He is 2 years old and the biggest sweetheart ever! Although we have only had a few days all together, we have been loving every minute of it! Next year, he will be front and center on our Christmas cards and a big highlight for us for the year!
This year we ordered our cards from Minted. I always love shopping with them because each of their designs are from independent artists from around the globe. Its a neat way to be able to support others creative talents. We went with the foil pressed cards because I couldn’t resist the gorgeous rose gold! The card in person is so shinny and beautiful. This year hunter green, plaids, rainbow text, blush and red together are on trend, so I was loving that we got a few of those trends in our cards.
One thing that is neat that Minted is offering this year is a texting style service. If you text 415-301-CARD (2273) with the photo you want to use for your cards, a Minted stylist will text you back five holiday card designs, selected especially for and styled with your photo. How cool is that? When I put together our cards each year, I will always try 5-10 designs and it takes some serious time! This is an awesome service that can help you narrow down the search and save you some time!
When ordering cards with Minted, one thing I would recommend taking advantage of is the FREE custom envelopes. Its super easy to use. It will take a little prep work on your part to collect addresses if you don’t have them, but so worth it. I just had an excel page of all of our contacts, uploaded it to Minted and they printed out all the addresses on envelopes for me! With each card design they have matching address style to go with your design. If you want to get super matchy you can also get matching stamps made too! I have done that a few times in the past and think they really add an extra touch to the cards.
When I looked on Minted today, I saw there are some awesome sales going on for Holiday Cards! If you haven’t ordered yours yet, now is the time (plus it will save you money)! I say order them now and get them done so you can enjoy the holidays with your loved ones!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you have a fantastic week!
*Thank you Minted for gifting these beautiful cards to us. This is not a paid collaboration but a product we truly love and wanted to share with you all. All opinions are our own 😉

November 14, 2018Ohh sooo cute!! I love the way the cards turned out!
It’s so interesting to see things like this. In Australia, personalised photo Christmas cards are not really a thing at all – in fact I don’t think I’ve ever received one EXCEPT when someone has a new born child and they take a photo with santa, then yes, those will be sent to family in the form of a Christmas card.
But it’s definitely a nice idea !
