My Favorite Face Sunscreen For Outdoors + Everyday

Wearing sunscreen is always a great idea, but wearing it on your face everyday is even better! Today I am sharing my favorite sunscreens for everyday and the great outdoors!

WHY I WEAR SUNSCREEN ON MY FACE EVERYDAY

As I have gotten older I have learned the importance of a good sunscreen. Many of my makeup products have SPF in them, but I have found it so important to put a layer of sunscreen on my face when I start the day.

I am someone who spends a lot of time outdoors all year around. Being outside makes me so happy, and so applying sunscreen for me is like brushing my teeth! When I brush my teeth in the morning, I actually put on my sunscreen right after! My family has a history of skin cancer as well, so that has been a big motivation for me to wear my sunscreen to!

There are so many face sunscreens out there, it’s hard to know which ones are the best and which ones actually work! I have tried many brands of face sunscreen, but there are 2 that are my favorite and I have been using for years.

MY TWO FAVORITE FACE SUNSCREEN PRODUCTS

1. OBAGI MEDICAL Sun Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 50

This is my go to sunscreen! It is amazing for outdoors as well as everyday! It’s a very versatile sunscreen with a big impact!

One of my really good friends worked as an esthetician at a plastic surgeons office. She said this was the sunscreen she recommend over and over to clients. I first tried this sunscreen 5 years ago when I asked her about a good face sunscreen and I am still hooked! The bottle lasts a really long time! It usually takes me about 9-10 months to go through a bottle. This sunscreen is a little thicker but spreads super easy. It doesn’t leave a heavy feeling on your face, and the best part is makeup applies smoothly on top of it!

I have worn this sunscreen in Arizona summers outside, all day adventures at Disneyland, etc. and have always felt like the sunscreen did its job!

If you only could get one of these sunscreens, this is the one I would recommend getting.

2. Tinted elta MD Skincare UV Elements Broad-Spectrum SPF 44

This is my go-to sunscreen for summer! In the summer my body tends to get a summer tan from walking outside everyday, but my face does not (because I wear sunscreen!). This sunscreen has a real rich creamy feel to it, applies on so smooth and has color tint to it. The tint is subtle and blends in nicely with lots of skin tones. My mom has this same sunscreen and she is a lot tanner than I am, and the color blends in well for her skin tone as well.

This sunscreen is also water-resistant for 40 minutes. That is a big bonus for summer pool days and being active outdoors! It’s a great sunscreen to wear with or without makeup on.
