Last year I had so much fun taking my girls to the mall to get pictures with Santa! This year I wanted to do the same, but depending on where you live…this may not be an option anymore! …..but don’t worry! Jake and I have been brain storming and came up with a few ideas that might help! Today we are sharing creative ways to get a picture with Santa for 2020!

Support Local Businesses

Lots of local businesses are getting super creative with fun ways to grab a “selfie” with Santa this year! If you have a place close by, support local businesses and grab a picture with Santa there. I have seen some places put up a glass wall, or have a fence around Santa where you can grab a selfie. Especially during the holidays/covid, let’s rally together and help keep our local stores alive!

Buy/ Rent A Santa Suit!

I was shopping for stocking stuffers for my girls at my favorite party store Zurchers and came across this Santa suit! I thought this would be a perfect way to get some pictures with Santa this year! Lots of places rent suits as well. I went with the buying option so we can have it for lots of years to come 😉

Photoshop

There are lots of great editing tools out there like Photoshop! Try making a funny Santa picture this year and photoshop a recent picture with an old picture you have taken with Santa in the past! If you don’t have photoshop, another option is reaching out to a photographers. Lots of photographers are in need right now with so many events canceled this year, reach out and hire them to edit a photo.

Video Call With Santa

Have you heard of Jingle Ring?!?! It’s an online video service where an Elf takes you around the North Pole and then you get a video chat with Santa! How fun does that sound?! They have all kinds of pricing packages but saw this was $25+. When you meet Santa, grab a screen shot of both of you for a one of a kind photo this year! I have not tried this service myself, but It looked really fun, thought I would share about it 🙂

A lot of small studios are doing one on one photo shoots with Santa. This can be a great way to get the pictures you are wanting this year with still being safe. Call around to local studios and see what kind of options they have for pictures with Santa!
